About
Who we are?
We are a volunteer-based, 501(c)3 organization made up of parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff dedicated to enriching our children’s educational experiences at JES and building a vibrant community at our school.
What we do?
We exist to help students and staff by providing support for educational and recreational needs; to promote open communication between administration, teachers, and parents/guardians and to encourage JES spirit and pride. The PTO uses its resources, both manpower and monetary, to support the efforts of the staff and to provide learning and enrichment opportunities for our children and enhance the overall school experience for our JES community.
How we do it?
Each year, the PTO organizes the Annual Pumpkin Sale Fundraiser, the JES Family/Community Dinner, the Book Fair, Dinner for our Educators, Teacher Appreciation Week, and produces our school yearbook! In addition, we manage a robust educational grants program, so that teachers and staff can request “extra” programs, initiatives, and supplies that are not available to them through Teton County School District.
Why we do it?
We could quote numerous studies that confirm the positive influence parent involvement has on student’s performance. When kids see a connection between their home lives and school, it reinforces education as a priority in your family. But the most important reason is because we value our students and our JES community and want to see it SOAR!
